The MWSU Black Alumni Reunion is a vibrant biennial gathering that unites Missouri Western's Black alumni to honor our shared history, celebrate individual and collective achievements, and inspire the next generation of Griffons.
Established on October 13, 2016, the reunion builds on a rich tradition of alumni events hosted by affinity groups even before the university's official recognition of the MWSU Black Alumni Network. This cherished occasion invites alumni back to campus to reconnect with friends, reminisce about their college days, and engage in meaningful dialogue with current Black undergraduate students.
More than just a celebration, the Black Alumni Reunion fosters a strong sense of community and purpose. Through mentorship, storytelling, and shared experiences, alumni play a critical role in positively impacting the undergraduate student experience and shaping the future of MWSU.
